That’s right—Astrology for Artists is back.
Here’s how the newsletter will work:
Astrology for Artists will hit your inbox each month, offering yearly astrological forecasts for a single zodiac sign. The first edition, coming February 18, will contain an in-depth look at the year ahead for Pisces—with special attention paid to how the universe could influence their studio practice and (surely fruitful) career.
A few sentences for the remaining signs, looking towards the month ahead, will follow.
I’m overjoyed that you’ll accompany me on this spiritual and otherworldly journey. Feel free to share this newsletter with anyone who may also be interested in diving deep—be it friends, enemies, family members, or therapists.
This project has taken quite a few iterations over the years. Below is an introduction from an earlier version that will act as a guide going forward.

Astrology is seen by many as a tool for predicting the future but, as the skeptic will proclaim, it’s as reliable as a broken clock or an unfaithful lover. In this case, they’re not wrong. We must adjust our expectations if we plan to use astrology as a tool for our day-to-day lives.
The idea that astrology is the declaration of your destiny is unequivocally false, a lie perpetuated by amateur mystics who possess shallow understandings. The positions of the planets and the stars should act as a guide in your lifelong quest to learn—not about your future but about your true being, your self.
As the old adage goes, artists march to the beat of their own drum. They take the road less traveled and find sustenance from their own creative juices. They focus inward, shoveling aside layers of proverbial sludge to find the idiosyncratic spirit nesting deep inside their core. After this excavation, they are able to successfully reveal their highly personal creations to the wider world. Astrology, one could argue, is incredibly useful for artists as they continue on this journey of self-discovery.
I have decided to focus my otherworldly energies on astrological readings for those who find themselves on the creative path. Again, there are no predictive answers here. These readings look at what situations you may encounter in the next few months, and how your truest self will want to respond. Whether you'd like to follow that instinct or not is your decision to make.
